If you don’t have the time or the patience to teach your dog basic manners and obedience; our camp training is for you. If you’re going on vacation and want your dog to be stimulated and learning while you’re gone; our camp training is for you. If you just want a jump start on basic obedience training so it’s easier for you to follow up; our camp training is for you. If you think your dog needs a refresher; our camp training is for you.
Using our gentle techniques we’ll help turn your dog into a joyous, thinking, cooperative partner in his/her training. Because our dogs don’t speak English and they don’t know what we’re asking of them; the beginning stages of training take much more patience and time. Just like it takes a tremendous amount of energy for a plane to get off the ground but much less energy to stay at cruising altitude, it’s much easier to reinforce a behavior that your dog knows than it is to establish it in the first place.
During training your dog will be living in our home with us!
Your dog will have multiple training sessions each day and free time in our training facility. At the end of your pup’s stay we will show you what he/she has learned and provide a 30 minute lesson with you to be sure you know how to follow through with the teachings. You will also receive written instructions on how to continue teaching your pup, a copy of our training DVD and a signed copy of Brad’s book Conversations with Courtney.
Your dogs are not computers that can be programmed, they are thinking, feeling, decision making bundles of love. We can teach them all of their basics, however if you do not follow through and continue to reinforce what they have learned, within a few short weeks it will be as if they never came to us. Once they learn from us; your job will be much easier to reinforce but you must let them know that the rules are the same at your house as they were at camp. We’re not creating robot dogs, but happy, thinking, cooperative trainees.
Camp Programs:
KICK START or Refresher Retreat
A six day Monday through Saturday course to get your dog started or to refresh his skills with the basic obedience tasks: sit, down, stay, recall (come), door behavior, and walking on loose leash.
Seven days of training
One 30 minute training session on pick up day
Training DVD
Signed copy of Conversations with Courtney training book
Written instructions on how to follow through with the training
Total Fee $665
For an additional fee, we offer one OPTIONAL follow up lesson at your home at a reduced rate of $95 (Regular rate is $125)
14 Day Training Retreat
This program includes everything listed in the Kick Start program but has 12 days of training. The first six days of teaching are reinforced in the second six days for more reliable imprinting and retention resulting in less reinforcement work for you. This program is our preference for more reliability and a wider range of tasks can be covered.

We only take one dog at a time. Dogs must be a minimum of 6 months of age and potty trained.
