I have to say, that besides being an extraordinary trainer, who completely thinks “out of the box”, Brad Jaffe is an extraordinary writer. His book “Conversations with Courtney”, is one of the most profound, creative, and memorable stories I have ever read. This is not just about rethinking about how to train and correspond with our dogs, it is also about how we, as human beings, might rethink how we react to life and to others. This story is definitely a movie in the making! I can’t stop thinking about Courtney and how right on she is regarding her owner and future graduate student, in communicating with dogs. “Most people don’t hear us because they are not listening. We communicate through our minds, not our mouths.” What an amazing thought. Brad is beyond talented to have created this story!

We called Team Canine after our two Boxers went after a dog in our neighborhood. They were both very reactive to other dogs on walks and just about uncontrollable. The next day we took the dogs hiking in South Mountain, there were a lot of dogs and people around.
