I have to say, that besides being an extraordinary trainer, who completely thinks “out of the box”, Brad Jaffe is an extraordinary writer. His book “Conversations with Courtney”, is one of the most profound, creative, and memorable stories I have ever read. This is not just about rethinking about how to train and correspond with our dogs, it is also about how we, as human beings, might rethink how we react to life and to others. This story is definitely a movie in the making! I can’t stop thinking about Courtney and how right on she is regarding her owner and future graduate student, in communicating with dogs. “Most people don’t hear us because they are not listening. We communicate through our minds, not our mouths.” What an amazing thought. Brad is beyond talented to have created this story!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your help with Captain Jack. We have had no further problems and after a few days he quit trying to get on the bed at all. We don’t even have to use the cable anymore. Wally has been the stubborn one so we have used the cable on him and it works great.

We called Team Canine after our two Boxers went after a dog in our neighborhood. They were both very reactive to other dogs on walks and just about uncontrollable. Brad and Tamara both came out and spent an hour with us teaching us why our dogs were doing what they were doing and how to control them around other dogs without having to be forceful or corrective. The next day we took the dogs hiking in South Mountain, there were a lot of dogs and people around.
